how i did 2013 - hobby update

Well 2013 has long been over and I have not reported on the year that was and set the goals for the 2014 hobby year.

1. Paint one mini a day (buy no more minis

2. One new Malifaux table – circus

3 one new fantasy tables

4 Weekly update for both my blogs – firewaterportal and windwaterportal

5 run four privet events / gaming days

6 paint and play dread ball

8 Play 52 games of WHFB

9 play 26 games of malifaux, complete the mal league

10 play 6 games of kings of war

11 play 6 games of dread ball

12 start a weekly family board game night.

1.  Well I did not get the buy no more minis this year that was a fail. But I did paint one min a day this year. Painted 476 bought 812 minis.

2. I completed three new tables for malifaux this year. The circus table, the Asian jungle table and the streets of malifaux. So big win there

3. I built a couple of tables worth of terrain for the club- I also built an 8x4 jungle table for me, so a win there.

4. Blogging on a weekly basis on my blogs was not a success. I did about one post a week between all blogs not one each. This I will try to go better this year.

5. Run four events for myself this year. I only managed on event so that was a fail.

6. Paint and play dread ball – big pass on that painted 42 dread ball models and play five games.

8-11 about playing games so

52 – Fantasy - played 27

26 malifaux – played 15

6 kings of wall – played 2

6 dread ball – played 5

 In all played 49 games, this does not include the other systems I played and picked up this year.

So I had a good year of gaming.

12. Start a family bored game night. We may not have a night that we play but we do play games now do that is great.

So 2013 had some ups and down but for me and the hobby it was a great year. Lots of painted minis and terrain. One of the big changes was that I need to limit what I buy. One of the conclusions I had is don’t do new project till old one are finished. So with that some of my old unpainted armies are going to be sold off to fund any new purchases. With all the kick-starters I have next year I will be busy anyway so I will not need any new models.

With that let 2014 have just as much fun in the hobby.
