Well hi all,

over the past four years or so I have

been producing terrain for my gaming

needs well I Have now more terrain

then I need and have to find a new

direction for my gaming hobby.

So I have started to work as a

Mantic Pathfinder.

I love Kings of war , as well as

dead zone and Dreadball, so it was

easy to apply for the program.

So this blog will start with showcasing

my activities with the Mantic pathfinders

program.

There will still be times I will

place terrain projects on the blog

but it will now be the home to the

adventures of a Mantic Pathfinder

in one of the remote capital city's

around the world, Perth Western Australia.

a day off

I had a day off yesterday and was given permission to work on the gamming table.

so I spent some time working on parts. first was worked on the grave stones, undercoated and painted so 50 grave stones, as well as two of the gw crits for use on the table.

worked om the tents the top ones are base coated the second picture have them washed so the three are now done and ready for the table.

and last I have finished the stands. one of the reasons it is very flat is to allow the models to be placed on the stands safely. so the seats are all flat and the same hight. there are three levels  in order to allow for sightblocking levels. The stands have also been stained now need to work on detail.

this is the table so far, still work to go, but it is taking shape.

Mr. Magpie’s Cemetery Circus

Well Hi all

I had a day off as I had to work the weekend.

I was able to work on the table as the wife went to visit her grandmother.

Well I was able to work on some resin models as I have cast some grave stones for the table. I also had another listen to the story arc and decided to get rid of the hanging tree and build a couple of small tents, the story talks about these as places to gamble so they would be great. I also have started on a caravan for Mr Magpie.

I have also come up with a design for the seating in the circus tent.
One of the aspects that I have to take time is to ensure that the table is playable. Gaming on a table is just as important as the table has to look. I have to ensure that it also is a bit hardy as I want to use it at events and tournaments.

The Tents where made from some old D&D cardboard buildings. I have used core flute board to re-enforce them and will repaint them.
This gamming table has the good sense to use up some of my extras and parts from the shed that I have kept just in case, It proves to the wife that the shed full of bits has a use and I should not put it in the bin if it is damaged.

have done a little work

well I have done some work on the table, I have a couple fences and some buildings for the table.

I have also made a mould to create the grave stone. so the next job will be making some grave stones, I have pick up some smooth on resin, this will be the next task.

So we are well under way with this project I had a chat with the Malifaux Club champ and have set the deadline to April for this table as I want to get it right.

the first table

Well, I have started a new maliflux table.

The club that I belong to (KRAGS) has started a bi-monthly maliflux gaming night with another club. How it works is that we travel to their club once a month to play maliflux then they travel to ours the next month. we hope to use this to get more players involved in the hobby and get out and play around town (you get more games that week as you tell the wife that It is club work and you have to go.) as part of the event we will hold the event some six times, so with the clubs maliflux Champion we are aiming to have a new table for them to use each time they come down to play. We have all the even months so I am aiming for this table to be ready by the first week in Feb. We do have a backup, if it is not finished the club Champion has one on the go minor work and will be finished by then.

I really find it easier to build the tables we need when I have a reason to do so it gives me targets and deadlines.

Now back to the table, I have been listening to The Aethervox and they had a story arc that really court my attention. They have released the stories in one session give it a listen. Even if you do not play the game you will enjoy the story.

Now back to the table again, the story has it inspired me to build a table based around the Mr. Magpie’s Cemetery Circus arc

This will be a non-modular gaming board. So it will have a little of a storage issue but that is a problem I will address when I finish.
So it is a circus built on a grave yard. There is a hanging tree on the board.
What this board is giving me the opportunity to do is work on areas I am new to. With the amount of grave stones I will need I am producing a master set and will be casting them in resin this is new for me and will give me some new skills.
Above is the basic lay out and some of the first models in play.
Keep you posted.
