I have an old table I designed some time ago to play an underground game for my dwarfs. it was on a 3x4 base. Well now that blood in the badlands have some rules for unground play I have bought it back out for a revamp and the addition of another 3x4 to make it a 6x4.
At this point I am toying up with making it an underground scene or a entrance to the underground and have a cliff face with green top. at this point it has a black and red top part of the cave.
The design has different entry points and I was considering a random entry point for all armies this means that you could come in anywhere and even on top of a another unit. if you enter and there is all ready a enemy unit there you will count as charging. if you roll up on your own unit you will have to roll on a chart and suffer a mishap, things like each model takes a difficult dangerous test, both unit suffer 2d6 s3 hits roll to would and saves. nothing happens we all have a cup of tea.
one of the cool things about this table will be the fact that the table will be the terrain I will have to make less pieces as the game will be about the rules that go with the table not the terrain as it is hard to move a mountain.
after some thought and the reading of the badlands book I am thinking the second piece of terrain will be another cavern for the underground battle.
